I had one of the older Tru Remotes for my V400 and it was amazing. Then Jed asked me to test his new TR-8 remote on my V400 with the arc force control as well as on the fly mode change, which is great and so convenient.! I can not say enough good things about this product or the incredible service. Tru Remote is an integral part of my rig and a tool all welders can benefit from!

Often times while doing prep work at elevated heights my machine would run 8 to 10 hours a day but it was needed only a small portion of that time for the actual welds. That costly situation has now been eliminated with the purchase of a Tru Remote. Much less maintainance,fewer oil changes, and a drastic decrease in fuel consumption. I was working in Sask last year, 90+ ft in the air,dog leashed to a truss. I prepped the area that had to be welded, pulled my remote out of my pocket, fired up the machine and completed the task. Finished the welds and shut the machine off which happened to be outside the insulated building I was working in and about 350 ft away from me and around a corner. I now have the start button, glow plug control, high/low idle, amperage adjustment, and the stop button in a very compact, waterproof,and sturdy hand held remote.When I called the company to purchase this item there was no more than 3 hours went by from initial phone call to installation of the equipment on my machine!!! This investment is one of the BEST I have ever made, and I would sincerly recommend it to anyone who is interested in QUALITY gear.

Superior product great for welding pipework in confined spaces. Gives me the ability to change volts and amps without moving, potentially reducing risk of injury when negotiating steep and uneven surfaces. I dropped the remote in wet muddy water without realizing, it must have been there for at least twenty minutes, when i finally fished it out worked without fault. Wish I had brought one sooner and could not be without it now.

This is by far the best purchase I have made for my welding business. I have been using this remote for about a year now, and would be totally lost without it. Less trips to the gas station and less oil changes is a bonus. I do some work at refineries and you sometimes have at least 500′ of cable strung out way up in a vessel, this remote has worked inside vessels quite far from the welding machine, the other guys working beside me still have to climb down a lot of ladders to get to their corded remote. State of the art remote. 100% accurate doesn’t matter what you doing from running beads by yourself which eliminates arguing with a helper all day to hanging in the back on the fire line. Spending money while in business is easy, but spending it wisely is the hard part. The Tru Remote system just makes sense. A corded remote with an extension is expensive and is another cord that needs to be wrapped up at the end of the day. Less hours idling means a longer life span for my main tool, the welder. Whether I am in a grain bin or up on the third floor of a metal-cladded building the Tru Remote has never let me down. Plus, if you need help you’re not talking to some twit in an overseas call center. I would recommend this product to anyone.
